Our Executive Postgraduate Programs meet the conditions established by the European Union Education Quality Accreditation Commission, of a minimum of 60 credits from the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) for postgraduate training. ECTS credits are based on the student’s personal work: teaching hours, study hours, work preparation and internships. One ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of student work. An academic course is equivalent to 60 ECTS credits, as long as the student has a full-time dedication, approximately for one year.
To complete the 60 ECTS we recommend dedicating between 8-10 hours per week to successfully complete the program. Included between participating in the live classes or, failing that, watching the recording and study time on your own.
Live sessions are recorded so that students can refer to them in their available time. In addition, all module materials have pre-recorded audiovisual content and reading materials, to be consulted according to the student’s availability.
In each module the student must take a short test on each topic, complete two practical cases, participate in a debate forum and take the final exam.
Since these are postgraduate studies. Students must have a degree in any branch of Engineering and Construction, where they have acquired basic knowledge in infrastructure and materials. Both the introductory material and the contents of the modules are developed to guide the student in their understanding of BIM from introductory to advanced levels.
In each module, a variety of software related to the study topic is used, including viewers, modelers, shared work environments, and more. Among them we can highlight all the tools from Autodesk and VisiLeam, among others.
Yes, if you do not have your own computer that can run the programs, we will provide you with a remote connection to a PC that you can use to study and develop your practical cases.
This is an international program that has students from all over the world, so its material and all classes are taught in English for the common understanding of all participants and teachers. However, this should not be an impediment to your participation. If you are interested in improving your level of English, you can apply for our Accelerated English Plan for Engineers, with which you can significantly improve your level of English in just 4 months.
Yes, if you want to get started in the world of BIM, but are not sure if you can commit to a year-long training, you can start by participating in our short courses, which vary in duration from one week to one month. We invite you to review the Courses section for more information about these.
